Ballet for Adults is for anyone interested in all the health benefits for both the mind and body that ballet has to offer. We will explore the fundamentals of ballet technique, while having fun and getting in shape! We will learn simple combinations, set to classical music, that incorporates memory with full body movement. Once we learn the basics you will get to enjoy the freedom of spirit and body that comes with dancing!

Jennifer Chipman Bloom began her ballet training at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. She then attended The School of American Ballet, where Jerome Robbins chose her to originate a principle role in his ballet 2&3 Part Inventions. At 16 she was asked to join the New York City Ballet, where she danced works by Balanchine, Robbins and Christopher Wheeldon. She has taught at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Point Park College, Broadway Dance Center, Bryn Mawr College, and Swarthmore College.
