Community Conversation Series: Introductory Stress Management Workshop with Joan Warburton-Phibbs
Stress just IS…..
Stay in your optimal arousal mode. As winter descends, days are shorter, there is less light, and our needs shift. In this workshop we will discuss how stress interacts with our bodies, mind, and spirits. After an introduction to the flight, fight, and freeze stress response, we will look at the hormones and neurotransmitters that flood our system during arousal. The second part of the workshop will cover the importance of interventions and participants will be given a variety of methods to help manage the stress response.
