Sharon has been a resident of Swarthmore since 1995, raising three children in the community with her husband, Peter. Sharon is member of the Swarthmore Centennial Foundation and is a garden manager for the Swarthmore Horticultural Society. Sharon has served as president of the boards of the Swarthmore Town Center and the Swarthmore Co-op and is past president and treasurer of the Swarthmore-Rutledge School Home and School Association

Sharon has a B.A. from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.  Sharon’s career started in product management at DuPont. After working for two start-ups in marketing and operations roles, she transitioned to a career in senior living. She currently works at SageLife, which owns and/or operates twelve senior living communities, one being Plush Mills in Wallingford.
