Meg grew up in Swarthmore. She attended SRS, played Swarthmore travel soccer, and had a classic Swarthmore childhood biking around town with friends (and stopping at the old Michael’s Pharmacy for candy!). She went to Friends’ Central School for Middle and High School, but spent her summers at Swarthmore Swim Club, including working as a lifeguard and assistant diving coach. She then left the area to attend college at Cornell University, followed by law school at Harvard, and then spent some years working as a lawyer in New York City. She returned to the area in 2014 and began working as an attorney for the federal government at the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Philadelphia office. While living in the Graduate Hospital neighborhood of Philadelphia, Meg volunteered with her local public school’s nonprofit “friends of” group, organizing an annual silent auction and other fundraising events.
Meg and her husband, Matt, and their two kids, Scott and Molly, moved from Philly to Swarthmore in August 2021. They now live right down the road from Meg’s parents and the house where she grew up. Meg is happy to be back in town, and her whole family loves being a part of the Swarthmore community.
