Sheri Whelpley

Treasurer

Sheri is a resident of Wallingford. She grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and graduated with a degree in accounting and finance from Drexel University. After college, Sheri worked for a forensic accounting firm where she was responsible for the analysis of business income losses for companies ranging from small mom-and-pop businesses to multi-million dollar industries. After 25 years with the accounting firm, she left to work for Travelers Insurance, primarily assisting their construction accounts with surety bond and cyber claims.

Sheri is currently the treasurer for Congregation Ohev Shalom, where she is a member for over 18 years. In addition, she co-chairs an annual holiday food drive for the Mitzvah Food Pantry, the Wesley Center, and the Bernardine Center.

She previously was treasurer for the committee that raised funds for Strath Haven High School’s turf field.

Sheri has been Treasurer for the Swarthmore Community Center for over 10 years.
