CPR and First Aid Training

Get certified to save lives! Train in adult, child and infant CPR and first aid. Learn to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) and the rescue of a choking victim. This course will cover life threatening hemorrhage, seizure management, allergic reactions, heart attack, stroke management, diabetic emergencies and best practices to survive an active violence (active shooter) incident. 

Upon the successful completion of the class the student will receive a 2 year certification from the American Health and Safety Institute (ASHI), a nationally recognized and equivalent to the American Heart Association.  

What to bring: Wear comfortable clothes, bring a water bottle, a notebook and pen, and a snack if you need it. While masks are optional at the community center at this time, you are welcome to wear one.

Instructor Bio: A paramedic for 18 years, Steven Devenney has firsthand experience of the need for early intervention when an emergency strikes. With a background in education, and extensive experience treating the critically ill or injured, Steven has led CPR and First Aid trainings for the past 12 years through his company, Guardian Emergency Training. Having personally witnessed bystander CPR make the difference between life and death, Steven is passionate about teaching people how to properly respond in case of emergency.
