Relieve your tension and improve your range of motion with myofascial release!  MR targets the connective tissue called fascia that can tighten up as a result of sitting and stress. Enjoy 90 minutes of yoga, foam rolling, meditation, and extended relaxation in this workshop designed to leave your muscles and joints with a greater flexibility. Gentle and accessible for varying ages and abilities, this workshop includes a full-length yoga class and exercises using a foam roller and tennis balls that can be replicated at home.

  ·  Tension, injury, emotional stress, and prolonged sitting can all cause the fascia (a connective tissue that wraps around muscles and bones) to tighten and form blockages, leading to pain and discomfort. Good posture, regular stretching, and fluid movement can help to alleviate tightness.

·      Myofascial release is a technique used to alleviate that pain and discomfort. By applying gentle, sustained pressure on trigger points, we can help to relieve tension and improve the range of motion in the affected areas.

·      Please bring a yoga mat, foam roller, and (if you’d like) extra clothing or a blanket for savasana. The studio will provide tennis balls and a limited number of yoga blocks.
