Minecraft IRL
In "creative mode" campers build their own unique characters, shelters, and mini-universes. Then into "survival mode," campers work as a team to earn points; completing puzzles, conquering obstacle courses, collecting red stone and lapis ores, crafting Minecraft-inspired potions, and even fighting off scary mobs (monsters). This camp brings Minecraft to life (we are a "no-device zone"!). No ender-man are actually hurt in the making of this camp. 

LEGO Challenge
LEGO challenges and other games of "the Brick." From speed-builds, to life-size LEGOS to LEGO self-portraits and crafts incorporating LEGOs, campers will come to love the versatility of a simple LEGO. Study up on your LEGO Masters!

We will also bring in other building and design techniques including game design, puzzles and the 6 concepts to build Rube Goldberg's simple reaction machines!

Campers will be split into groups by age (~5-8 and 9-12) and switch between the two modes. We will also bring in other building and design techniques including game design, puzzles and the 6 concepts to build Rube Goldberg's simple reaction machines!

The Creative Living Room

The Creative Living Room is a nonprofit community arts education organization that inspires creative curiosity in kids and families. Founded in 2008 by four enterprising women in the arts, TCLR has become a space to try on something new. Our themed classes, camps and parties combine artistic and creative mediums.
