Ages 5 - 12

For campers 5 - 12 at Congregation Beth Israel of Media. Let's take a positive and teamwork approach to learning, caring and cleaning up our environment. Part Nature Camp, part Community Service, this camp will teach us all to appreciate the world around us. Right in the TCLR backyard is a "wild" kingdom to explore, we'll take nature walks, make nature guides, brew our own nature lotions and scrubs, go on scavenger hunts, collect natural objects to use in our creative work. Campers will learn about raw food cooking and learn to slow down and experience the small moments through yoga and mindfulness and meditation. On location at BI with Linvilla Orchards as our backdrop AND on Middletown Township trail system, we'll use these amenities in our favor all week long! A group community service project (to be determined) will also be part of this week's activities. Giving back feels so good! Typically, campers have been grouped by age (~5-8 and 9-12) and projects will be geared to each age range.

The Creative Living Room

The Creative Living Room is a nonprofit community arts education organization that inspires creative curiosity in kids and families. Founded in 2008 by four enterprising women in the arts, TCLR has become a space to try on something new. Our themed classes, camps and parties combine artistic and creative mediums.
