Players under the age of 12 need to be accompanied by an adult who remains in the building at all times.

Park Ave Chess Club Tournament
The Park Avenue Community Center Chess Club will host its second rated chess tournament of 2024 on Saturday, May 18. The tournament will feature four rounds of play in a Swiss-style format, with optional blitz tie-break games at the end of the day if needed.
Mindful Movement for Pain Free Gardening
Learn how to bend, reach, dig, pull and plant with more efficiency and less strain using the Alexander Technique, which has served as a unique approach to the re-education of dynamic postural coordination for people of all ages and abilities all over the world for over 120 years.

Cinco de Mayo Fiesta! Family Fun Cultural Arts Event
It’s Fiesta Time! Celebrate “Cinco de Mayo,” Mexican culture and heritage with colorful folk dances, music, arts, crafts, face painting, traditional tastes and more in this special event for the whole family. Open to the Public. Reservations requested. Suggested donation of $5 per person, $20 per family - pay at door.

Argentine Tango - Lesson & Dance Party
Join Lori Coyle and Friends for a happy evening of tango social dancing. No experience required. Lori will provide a lesson before the “Milonga” or tango social dance. All levels of experience are welcome!
Teen Night: Magic!
Ages 11- 15. We will emphasize an audience-first approach to thinking about magic effects and a performance-heavy focus on trick learning. Rehearsing and researching magic can be a skill-building hobby, a creative and artistic outlet, an opportunity to improve stage presence, and an introduction to a quickly growing community of peers!
