Vibrant works for a n array of percussion instruments from around the globe.
For nearly 20 years, the Quey [“Kway”] Percussion Duo has dazzled audiences worldwide with their unmistakable style, having performed in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, the Czech Republic, China, France, Jordan, the UK, and extensively throughout the US. Their Park Avenue Concerts performance will showcase their virtuosity on an amazing variety of instruments, including standard percussion like marimba, vibraphone and drums, and a charming array of world instruments, toys and found objects, including spinning bells, Chinese cymbals, hammered guitars and metal plates. For these musicians, almost anything that can be used to make a sound is made an object of beauty and musical expression.
