Sensory Explorers
Grades K-5
Join us for a Hands-On Adventure in this fun and engaging after-school class where we explore the world through our senses! Each week, students will dive into a different "Sense of the Day" with exciting, hands-on activities designed to stimulate their sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell. From creating colorful art to experimenting with textures, scents, and sounds, this class encourages curiosity, creativity, and sensory awareness.
Seeing Sensations – Explore colors, light, and optical illusions with fun visual experiments!
Sounds All Around – Discover the science of sound through music, vibrations, and sound bath!
Touch & Texture – Get hands-on with DIY potions and mystery objects in a texture challenge!
Scent Detectives – Engage your nose with a guessing game of scents and make scented crafts!
Taste Bud Adventure – Try sweet, sour, salty, and bitter flavors in a fun taste-testing activity!
Sensory Extravaganza! – A multi-sensory celebration with all five senses in action!
This class is perfect for K-5 students who love to explore, create, and engage with the world in new ways. Get ready for a sensory-filled adventure that will leave students excited to learn more about the amazing ways we experience the world! This class may include guest teaching artists.
Our After-School program is listed from 4-5:30pm, allowing all students to arrive on foot, by bus or drop off to make it in advance of instruction time between 4:30-5:30pm. Drop off students may arrive anytime after 4pm.
