Candle Light Restorative Yoga, Spring

Give yourself the gift of relaxing yoga in a peaceful candle light setting. This class helps melt away stress as you rest in yoga postures supported by bolsters, blankets and blocks. We use yoga and self-massage to calm the mind, relax the nervous system, and ease body tension, allowing deep rest. The class is suitable for all levels.

Wear comfortable clothes in which to move and rest, and bring your yoga mat. Props provided, bring personal props as you like.

Jane Barry DePaul

Jane Barry DePaul, E-RYT, YACEP, started taking yoga classes to deal with the anxiety and stress of a job layoff and dealing with aging parents. That layoff had a silver lining because it gave her time to go to yoga school and she has been teaching since 2013 at local studios and Penn State Brandywine's wellness classes! While she was originally attracted to the increased muscle tone and flexibility of her body, it was the sense of peace and calm that kept her coming back to her mat. Jane enjoys teaching students at all levels, especially those who think they cannot yoga. Her supportive cues, use of props and mindful breathing help students build a practice to face life's challenges with a stronger body, calmer mind and renewed spirit.
