It’s the Year of the Dragon! Come celebrate the Chinese New Year filled with the traditional customs featuring a Lion Dance Parade, music, crafts and foods bringing good luck with this New Year holiday!
A family friendly community event, on Sunday, February 4th from 4:30 – 6:30 PM. Come make a little noise and help welcome in the Year of the Dragon which symbolizes good luck and strength in this cultural program of music, dance, arts, foods and more featuring local artists and educators.
Kids can make a variety of traditional and symbolic crafts, lead by Mandarin language teacher, Shujing Ding of Ding Ding Language Center, participate in a Lion Dance Parade with music, be entertained by a traditional Chinese dance performance from the Penn Chinese Dance Club.and enjoy delicious dumplings, spring rolls, fruits and fortune cookies. Learn about the meaning of this festive annual holiday that celebrates new beginnings, prosperity, abundance and family in this educational enrichment program. Everyone is invited to wear red.
Geared for families with kids under 10 years – all ages welcome. Reservations requested. Free and Open to the Public. Pay what you wish. Suggested $20 per family. Donations are much appreciated and support PAC community programs in collaboration with The Creative Living Room.
