Give yourself a much-needed break from the constant barrage of negative news and the stress it causes with our fall mini-retreat. Suitable for all levels, this retreat focuses on clearing energy pathways to relieve stress and reset the central nervous system to a “rest and refresh” state.
Pamper yourself with mindful movement, gentle massage techniques, and essential oils to prepare the body to rest in relaxing poses.
All participants will receive access to a self-acupressure treatment developed to relieve emotional and physical pain, release anxiety and trauma, and provide overall relaxation. Students will walk away with the ability to create a personalized, regular home practice for building resilience in the face of life's challenges.
Space is limited; register now to secure your spot. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat and small hand towel.
Jane Barry DePaul, E-RYT, YACEP, started taking yoga classes to deal with the anxiety and stress of a job layoff and dealing with aging parents. That layoff had a silver lining because it gave her time to go to yoga school and she has been teaching since 2013 at local studios and Penn State Brandywine's wellness classes! While she was originally attracted to the increased muscle tone and flexibility of her body, it was the sense of peace and calm that kept her coming back to her mat. Jane enjoys teaching students at all levels, especially those who think they cannot yoga. Her supportive cues, use of props and mindful breathing help students build a practice to face life's challenges with a stronger body, calmer mind and renewed spirit.
