Yoga Nidra, “yogic sleep” is the practice of sleep with a trace of awareness. This deeply restorative healing practice is open to all bodies and stages of life. Class will begin with gentle movement and breath awareness designed to bring the nervous system towards a state of ease.
Thoughtful steps will then be taken towards building your rest nest - seated or lying down - where you will feel held and supported for meditation. Finally you’ll be guided through a systematic deep relaxation practice. Yoga Nidra leads us into a deep state of consciousness, in which we rest in spacious awareness and presence.
It has has been found to ease anxiety, stress, insomnia, chronic pain and the effects of living amidst the demands of this modern world.
Suki Kermes is a certified yoga & meditation teacher with 15+ years experience and a special love for prenatal, postnatal and pelvic floor yoga, as well as restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra. The pregnancy, birth & postpartum journey she experienced with her three children are her greatest teaching moments. Suki’s therapeutic nurturing approach supports students to slow down, take up space & be guided home to their inner wisdom. Ultimately the Divine Feminine & the practice and state of Yoga Nidra infuses all her offerings and the nature in how she guides class.
