Foundations of Graphite Drawing

Graphite drawing is a versatile art form with a variety of techniques allowing artists to create a wide range of tones and textures.

In this four-week course designed for all levels of experience, learn drawing techniques and how to approach mark making and shading while exploring still-life studies.

Experienced artists are invited to revisit this foundational medium and improve their skills. Beginning artists will learn basic drawing techniques in a light-hearted, low-stress environment!

The classes are led by artist Veronica Batter, who has been teaching art for over 20 years.

Your Instructor

Veronica Batter

Veronica Batter is an artist, educator, entrepreneur, and arts advocate. A graduate of Moore College of Art and Design as well as Widener University, she has a distinguished teaching career of over 20 years. Currently, she is director of Rockdale Art Center, president of Aston Mills Arts, and a founder and president of Rockdale Arts District. She is also on the Steering Committee for the Delaware County Arts Consortium and local boards and committees.
