Acting Fundamentals for Adults, Winter
Who’s interested in trying new adventures? Life-long Learning? Join PAC’S Acting Fundamentals for Adults an 8 week course, culminating in an open class Showcase on November 25th. Taught by long time actress, Susan Wefel, this class will follow the Hedgerow Theatre training of “humility, industry and an aptitude for learning” (Jasper Deeter, founder of Hedgerow Theatre). This class offers collaboration, confidence building, improvisation, and some scene study for a showcase of scenes of classics by various playwriters: Neil Simon, A.R. Gurney, David Ives, and Thornton Wilder. Get to know each other and look forward to the fun of daring to pretend to be somebody else.

Susan Wefel, a graduate of the Boston University Theater School, BFA in Acting, is a Philadelphia theater legend, performing on stage for more than four decades. She has starred in dozens of local and regional theater productions, and was the Artist in Residence at Hedgerow Theater in Rose Valley for 45 years. As a stage veteran, Susan is a much sought-after acting and theater arts coach and mentor, teaching children and adult acting classes. She particularly enjoys watching her older students rediscover their inner-child and playful self through acting. Susan is thrilled to join the PAC Center roster of talented teaching artists, and looks forward to bringing the magical experience of acting to the PAC Center community.
