Summer Senior Program: Transitioning to Post-Retirement and Beyond
Summer Senior Program, June 25
When people retire, it's common to face a lack of meaning and purpose in our lives. This workshop will introduce core principles of positive psychology that can help support us during this significant life transition. Participants will have time to reflect on what parts of retirement have posed challenges, how they've met those challenges, and how to envision their next steps for greater life satisfaction.
Kelly George is a life coach, educator, and mom dedicated to creating a safe and fun environment for clients to share, learn, and grow.
*Stay for a tasty lunch and discussion with your neighbors. Open and free to all area senior citizens. Please RSVP!
The fun is absolutely free and open to all seniors. There’s no better place to find connection and creativity this season. At the Park Avenue Community Center, we believe that age is just a number and summer is meant to be enjoyed, so bring a friend and join us again this year.
Kelly George helps people living with chronic fatigue and burn out stop the push/crash cycle so that they can feel more in control of their recovery and start rebuilding their lives. She also helps busy moms make room for themselves in their own lives again so that they can find that elusive balance between their role as caregivers and their own needs and goals. Kelly holds a Ph.D. in communication and an M.A. in health communication. For over a decade, she worked in higher education as both a faculty member and an administrator at universities in the Greater Philadelphia Area including, Immaculata University, Rutgers University School of Social Work, and The Institute on Disabilities at Temple University. As a career and wellness coach, she is dedicated to helping people pursue their life goals while deepening their relationship with themselves.
