Bounce Back and Build, Fall I

Engage all body systems efficiently with this comprehensive movement class. Whether you are recovering from an injury, just out of PT, or simply wanting to move more efficiently, this class is designed for you!

Each session integrates breath with movement, cardiovascular fitness, balance, and mobility exercises, concluding with structured relaxation to alleviate stress and promote a sense of wellbeing. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged to join. The ability to get onto the floor is helpful for relaxation and final stretch.

Chairs will be utilized in part to provide differentiated instruction. Drop-in participants are welcome.

Joan Warburton-Phibbs

Joan Warburton-Phibbs has been a dance, health, and wellness educator for many decades.

She is the co-founder of Chrysalis Center for Creativity and was the arts team leader, and dance and physical educator at Cab Calloway School of the Arts; The Madeira School and Georgetown Day School in the Washington, D.C. area.  

She has been a featured speaker at national physical education and health professional conferences. One of Joan’s advanced degrees was a Master of Science from Smith College with a focus on maintaining high performance under stressful events. 

Joan was also a seven-year adjunct professor at Cabrini University teaching Dance Across the World, Stress Management, and Dance Technique. She is committed to offering approaches to maintain health and mobility for all members of the community regardless of ability.
